Top Romantic Spots in the Delaware Beach Area

Looking for a way to spend time with that special someone? Salt isn’t the only thing in the air at the Delaware Beaches; romantic moments and opportunities are just about everywhere you turn. Check out all that Lewes, Rehoboth, Bethany Beach, and surrounding towns like Milford, Frankford and Dagsboro, have to offer as your next romantic getaway destination.
Just a few streets down from Rehoboth Avenue you will find a quaint alley called Penny Lane. This is where the adventure begins. Start with traditional French crepes for breakfast from La Papillion and then head directly across the street for shopping for matching hand towels at Olde Salt. Continue along the ally and take your time picking out discount trendy sunglasses to wear on the beach later. Then take a seat under the pavilion and share a freshly made hand-squeezed lemonade. Don’t forget to pick up a bottle of wine from the Penny Lane Spirits on your way out!

RED SQUARE CAVIAR BAR
An unforgettable night of elegant dining is sure to be had at the U.S. Red Square Caviar Bar on Rehoboth Avenue. Enjoy a private caviar tasting under soft lighting from the crystal chandelier or reserve a cozy table for two and sample a selection of fresh seafood. Grab a seat at the bar and drink a traditional Russian cocktail or sample a vodka flight. With over 300 types of vodkas, U.S. Red Square Caviar Bar has the largest selection in the state!

Located past the end of the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk is another small beach community referred to as Henlopen Acres. The beach is often less crowded and quieter than other public spots, and is even used at times for beautiful beach weddings! Henlopen Acres also hosts several shady biking trails with water views, as well as numerous cafes, bed and breakfasts, and more! Hike one of the trails at Cape Henlopen State Park and keep an eye out for local wildlife and nature!
SALTED VINES WINERY
One can’t miss spot on the South Del Tasting Trail is Salted Vines Winery in Frankford. Take in the 26-acre winery as you sip on a glass of refreshing wine and then set up a chair or blanket to finish off the bottle. Take part in a wine sampling and snuggle up by the stone fireplace in the tasting room. Stick around for happy hour, and check the website for upcoming events like live music, tastings, trivia, and other fun gatherings.

THE TOWERS BED & BREAKFAST
This soft pink mansion in Milton has been transformed into a cozy and intimate bed and breakfast its original construction in 1793. Gaze upon stained glass windows, grand wooden staircases, and intricately designed ceilings that make up the dwelling. With beautiful blooming flowers on the property, this spot is perfect for a nice photo of the happy couple. Honeymooners are invited to stay in the Bird’s Nest Suite and encouraged to partake in the Romance Package that is offered.

THE CLAYTON THEATRE
Sometimes a nice quiet night in the dark with no talking, snacks, and a movie is the perfect date. Experience the cinema in a more intimate way when you purchase tickets to the Clayton Theater. Sip on ice-cold soda and share a large popcorn for two when you attend one of the limited screenings of newly released top movies at this single screen theater in Dagsboro.
