Parking is not permitted from midnight-6 am on East Lake Drive, Queen, and Prospect from May 14-September 30.

Parking Department and Permit Purchase:

The Rehoboth Beach Parking Department, located at 1 City Hall Drive behind 30 Lake Avenue, is the primary authority overseeing parking regulations. You can purchase a pass in their office, open 8:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday.

During the summer season, permits can also be purchased from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, Thursday to Sunday, at kiosks in the 700 block of Bayard Avenue, between Stockley and Norfolk streets, and at 408 Rehoboth Avenue just beyond the drawbridge and traffic circle as you enter the town. Permits are available on a daily, weekend, weekly, or seasonal basis to cater to different parking needs.

Parking Meters

  • All parking meters have a 12-hour maximum limit with the exception of 30-minute spaces and at Grove Park. 
  • Meter rates are $4/hour citywide using quarters or a credit card or via Parkmobile. 
  • All 30-minute and accessible spaces require payment.
  • When at the pay station, verify that the amount of time and amount you wish to pay are correct. No refunds are issued.

 

Parking Department Hours:

The Rehoboth Beach Parking Department operates with varying hours throughout the year. From May 15 to September 15, the department is open from 8 am to 10 pm daily, with the lobby closing at 6 pm. From September 16 to May 14, the hours are 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday, with the lobby closing at 3:45 pm. The office remains closed on state holidays during this period.

 

Summer Permit Parking:

During the specified period from May 15 to September 15, a parking permit is required for all non-metered areas of the city between 10 am and 5 pm. Note that the City of Rehoboth Beach is not responsible for lost or stolen parking permits, so it's important to keep them secure.
