Halloween Weekend Events and more at the Delaware Beaches

Ok, so you have watched Hocus Pocus for the hundredth time this year and are still craving some more festive fun in your life? We’ve got you covered. While bingeworthy Halloween classics are fang-tastic, going out for seasonal events at the Delaware Beaches can really BOO-st your spirit! We have compiled a list that includes spooky events for the family and for nights out with your fellow witches and goblins!

 

Schellville’s Wicked Brew Bash - Schellville, Rehoboth, DE
Schellville isn’t just hosting Christmas events! On Saturday, October, 29th from 3:00-9:00pm check out this adult friendly experience filled with local breweries, music, artisans, and food trucks. A $25 ticket unlocks unlimited tastings (note: kids and designated drivers tickets are free). Live bands include local favorites: Go Go Gadget and The Royals. Upwards of 11 local Delaware breweries will be in attendance, so you don’t want to miss out on this boo-zy time!

Sea Witch Festival - Downtown Rehoboth Beach, DE and beyond 
This has been a local tradition for over 32 years! From Friday, October 28-Sunday, October 30 make sure you are visiting the Delaware Beaches! Festivities include a costume parade with the Sea Witch balloon, a dog parade, a Sea Witch hunt, live music, vendors, and crafts. This event draws  the crowds, so be sure to plan ahead; perhaps travel by broom or bus into town on parade day!

Interactive Rocky Horror Picture Show - The Pines, Rehoboth, DE
Just in time for Halloween, let’s go on a “strange journey”! This is truly a bucket list item— if you’ve never experienced the interactive viewing of Rocky Horror Picture Show, you need to enjoy this classic. House Entertainer Kristina Kelly will give you all of the supplies you need at the beginning of the movie. Supplies? Don’t worry, they will explain it to you before the film begins. This is event is $25 on Friday, October 28th. Doors open at 7:00pm and the showing starts at 8:00pm. Seating is limited, so buy tickets ahead of time at ThePinesRB.com/Shows

The Top of the Pines, on Baltimore Avenue in Downtown Rehoboth Beach, is presenting two Rocky Horror Picture Show Interactive Showings on October 27th and 28th. 

Wicked Weekend - Downtown Milton, DE 
Just north of Lewes, you will find the quaint town of Milton, which is putting on a free family-friendly Halloween event on Saturday, October 29th from 5-8pm. Activities in Milton Memorial Park will include trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, and haunted train rides! Added bonus: Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is located right near downtown, so you can enjoy your favorite autumn beers and bites before heading over to the evening events. 

Witch Way to Wine - Salted Vines, Frankford, DE - RESCHEDULED TO NOV 6TH
One of our favorite Southern Delaware wineries, Salted Vines, is hosting a Hallo-wine event that seems like the perfect day out with your ghoul-friends. This is event is a Sip&Shop event with over 30 vendors. What’s not to love? Get in some holiday shopping and enjoy some DE wine. The event is on Sunday, October 23rd from 11:00-4:00pm with Live Music from 1:00–4:00pm and El Gordo’s Food Truck from 12:00-6:00pm. If you didn’t get your fill of wine that day, they are also hosting a prize filled Spooky Hocus Pocus Bingo night from 4:00-6:00pm on Monday October 24th, which includes a costume contest! 

Poe by Candlelight - Lewes Public Library, Lewes, DE
A perfect All Hallows Eve event! On Sunday, October 30th from 5:00-6:00pm enjoy listening to macabre tales from the horror expert: Edgar Allen Poe. Sponsored by the Lewes Library’s spoken word society, East Lynne Theater Company’s experienced actors will bring to life some of the author’s classic spooky stories such as “The Tell Tale Heart” and “The Pit and the Pendulum”. Registration is required ahead of time on the
Delaware Libraries Website.  

Children’s Fantasy Trail - Cape Henlopen State Park, Lewes, DE
Into the woods you go! Storybook characters come to life on jack-o-lantern lined trails at the Nature Center in our beautiful state park! Wear your costumes and trick-or-treat for candy and toys. This event is sure to be a gourd time: October 28th-29th from 6:00-8:00pm and October 30th 6:00-7:30pm. Admission is $6 per person. Call 302-645-6852 for more information.

Trunk or Treat - Hudson Fields, Milton, DE 
Participate in an awesome Delaware Beach community event. Hudson Fields is hosting a Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 30th. Whether you want to bring the kiddos for some wholesome trick or treating, or you want to pass out candy, this will be fun for all. If you want to hand out treats, come with your decorated trunk and lots of candy for set up from 3:00-4:00pm. Kids begin trunk or treating from 4:00-6:00pm. 

Halloween Parties - Rusty Rudder & The Starboard, Dewey Beach, DE 
You have to show off your costume somewhere, so why not at some of the local bars? Enjoy Halloween Weekend in Dewey Beach at these popular coastal Delaware bars, or stop by after other daytime events. You will be sure to see outrageous costumes and local bands like Love Seed Mama Jump (9:00pm at Rusty Rudder). Sip on your potion of choice, but may we suggest an orange crush; a Delaware beach classic cocktail! 

Ghost Walk- Milford Museum, Milford, DE
Truly get in the spirit of Halloween with a ghost tour of Historic Milford’s darker past. Hear the horrifying stories of murder and more as you walk through Downtown Milford. You may even encounter one of the ghosts themselves, who are still doomed to haunt the Delaware locals. This October 22nd tour is recommended 13+ and starts at Towers Bed and Breakfast and ends at the Causey Mansion Bed and Breakfast. Purchase tickets for $25 at on their

Dia De Los Muertos Party - Big Chill Surf Cantina, Rehoboth, DE
Celebrate the dead and those we have lost on Tuesday, November 1st at Cantina. Arrive in costume and enjoy to die for drink specials, music, and classic Dia De Los Muertos face painting from 7:00-10:00pm. Yes, we did say adult face painting!
