Sweater weather is officially upon us at the Delaware beaches! Time to open the windows to the crisp autumn air, gather around bonfires, and enjoy some delicious fall treats around Rehoboth, Lewes, Ocean View, and Bethany! Let’s be honest, we all love pumpkin everything and those cozy fall meals.

Pumpkin Crab Bisque: Big Fish Grill
Let’s start with a local favorite: Pumpkin Crab Bisque from Big Fish. This is the perfect combination of coastal Delmarva flavor and autumn warmth. When we tell you people buy this cozy seasonal soup in bulk and freeze it, we aren’t kidding. They only serve this for a limited time, so get it while it is available! Big Fish Grill has Southern Delaware locations in Rehoboth and Ocean View.

Comfort Food: The Pines
Chilly weather calls for comfort food, and The Pines gets it! They offer Rehoboth Beach off- season specials. On Thursdays locals look forward to: Comfort Food Night. For only $20 per person, you get your pick of a deliciously balanced, hearty meal like Beef Stroganoff or Meatloaf and a house salad. Sounds like the perfect fall date night at the beach, or treat yourself! You deserve it.

Pumpkin Coffee Ale: Crooked Hammock
Local Delaware Pumpkin Beer is here and its combining two of the best beverages: beer and coffee. With cherrywood-smoked pumpkin, spices, and freshly ground coffee, this sounds like fall in a glass. Pick up a pack to enjoy on a chilly day at the Delaware Beach drive on, or try this and other beers at a local brewery event, like Schellville’s First Wicked Brew Bash on October 29th.

Pumpkin and Apple Desserts: Old World Breads
Local Lewes Bakery, Old World Breads, is offering tasty pastries that are perfect to pair with a pumpkin spice latte. Some of these enticing treats include Pumpkin Cream Croissant Muffins (also known as a cruffin) and Pumpkin and Apple Pastry Tarts. They also have a staple menu item: Apple Gallettes that taste like an apple pie on a cloud. People line up for this spot. They also offer call-ahead pie orders, so keep them in mind for the holidays.

Fall Brunch: Eggcellent
Have you tried this brunch spot in Lewes, DE? Located in historic downtown Lewes, Eggcellent is currently featuring Pumpkin Spice Pancakes, because you can’t smother your latte in butter and maple syrup, but you can enjoy all of those flavors in some fluffy pancakes. Want to spice it up further (pun intended)? Order your pancakes with an Apple Cider Mimosa. Sounds like the perfect start to Sunday Funday at the Delaware Beaches!

Pumpkin Espresso Martini: Somewhere Rehoboth
Espresso martinis are having their moment and a new restaurant in Rehoboth decided to take a seasonal twist. Somewhere in Rehoboth Beach is making pumpkin espresso martinis. Yes, two of your favorite things combined into the perfect fall cocktail. Enjoy over brunch after a morning at the pumpkin patch, or as a delicious night cap.
