Wake
up to a delicious gourmet breakfast in the Rapunzal suite at
The Towers
in Milford, Delaware. The Towers was once home to 19th century
poet John Lofland, and William Burton, Governor of Delaware from
1859-1863. Governor Burton's Daughter, Rhonda Roudebush remodeled
the house in 1887, when she moved back to Milford from New York.
She spent around $40,000, comparable to $1.2 million today.
Historians have concluded, from a blackened brick, that the original
colonial structure was built in 1783. Amenities include spacious
guestrooms, each with a private bathroom, breakfast, WiFi internet
access, a solar-heated swimming pool in a private garden, and off-street
parking. The Towers, 101 NW Front Street,
